Rationale:
My three adjectives I chose for each of the two recipes were homey, earthy, calm, snazzy, organic, and colorful. By incorporating these adjectives into my recipes, I chose lighter and more calm colors for the background and information, bright colors within the pictures, and varying design elements for the information parts of the recipes. The panini recipe contained more rounded design elements because of the type of organic feel I wanted to portray. And the peppers recipe had more sharp design elements because of the sharper kick of flavor the ingredients provided. Overlapping, bordering, and text fonts were a reoccuring theme that I enabled with the two recipes that tied them both together, which allowed me to reveal the two recipes belonging in the same cookbook, even though they are particularly two very different styles of food.
