Objective:
The drawing should include a strong demonstration of the following issues:
-Composition
-Accurate overall value structure
-Believable sense of light and space
-Accurate proportions
Rational:
For the start of this process I chose to include objects like sponges, wrapping paper, feathers, bubble-wrap, and wire into my sculptures. After I made a few sculptures to experiment with I ended up having to adjust my sculpture to emulate a certain look with the light source. I finally decided on an image that I planned to draw that revealed an interesting, dynamic look that caught my attention. The project called for the same technique we used on the self-portrait drawing where we were suggested to use a grid system to accurately display our drawing from the image. Unfortunately I couldn’t get accurate dimensions to use a grid system so this drawing was created simply by looking at the reference image.
